Datadobi adds data access governance to StorageMAP

Datadobi has announced the general availability of Data Access

Governance( DAG) within StorageMAP, giving organisations greater visibility into who has access to unstructured data and whether those permissions align with corporate policies.
The capability is designed to help enterprises manage increasingly fragmented data environments as AI adoption, cyberthreats and growing data complexity place greater pressure on traditional governance approaches.
StorageMAP’ s DAG capability provides administrators with visibility into access permissions across unstructured data environments. By identifying who can access particular datasets, organisations can uncover misaligned permissions, reduce cyber exposure and enforce governance policies at scale.
The addition extends StorageMAP’ s existing capabilities spanning data
Michael Jack, Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Datadobi discovery, classification, risk assessment, lifecycle management and AI Data Readiness. Datadobi said these capabilities enable organisations to discover their data, align it with business value and risk requirements and operationalise policy-driven actions.
DAG has been trialled by several beta customers and is designed to support use cases ranging from protecting sensitive information and reducing the potential impact of breaches to records compliance and managing risk during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
The capability can also help organisations investing in AI establish governance around the data being used, while supporting compliance with data protection requirements.
Michael Jack, Co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Datadobi, said:“ Unstructured data is at the center of every major enterprise challenge right now including AI readiness, cyber resilience, cost management, and regulatory compliance.”
